Patents, Utility Models and Industrial Designs
Registering a patent will provide you exclusivity on its explotation, as well as the right to prohibit others from using it. The owner or holder of a patent has the right to exploit it for a period of twenty years from the application date.

The utility model, on the other hand, gives you the right to exploit an invention with a lower inventive rank for a period of 10 years from the application date.
Industrial designs are to be renewed every 5 years from the filing date, and up to a maximum of 25 years from the application date. Once the registration is made, clients will obtain full protection of the design, and can prevent any act of exploitation by third parties who try to copy/use an identical design.
